目前主要科学研究领域和兴趣
主要从事生物材料与再生医学研究,重点研究大豆蛋白质、纤维素、壳聚糖、淀粉等天然高分子及其改性材料在神经组织工程、韧带组织工程和骨组织工程领域中的应用。已主持国家自然科学基金、国家留学基金委国外合作项目、湖北省卫生厅科技人才基金、湖北省自然科学基金计划青年杰出人才等项目多项。发表SCI收录论文100余篇。主编专著2部、教材1部;授权专利10项。

中国生物材料学会神经修复材料分会理事会成员;湖北省生物医学工程学会会员;湖北省电镜学会会员;中国生物医学工程学会会员。
教学情况
承担研究生《生物医学研究方法与前沿技术》《纳米医学》和本科生《高分子科学导论》《医学伦理学》《现代生物医学实验技术》等课程的教学。
