Research Description

1. Study the molecular epidemiology of Hemorrhagic Fever with Renal Syndrome (HFRS): We focus on evolutionary dynamics and molecular epidemiology of Hantavirus infection in Hubei Province, which reveals viral genetic variation, pathogenesis, and epidemiological characteristics of HFRS.

2.Study the pathogenic mechanism of virus infection and focus on immune response induced by virus.

3. Viral Diagnosis and Antiviral Agents: We have established systematic molecular, cellular and animal models to explore antivirals and therapeutics against various viruses, such as hantanvirus, SARS virus and other respiratory viruses, rotviruses ,Herpes Viruses, and so on.
