Research Description:
My research focus on exploring the molecular pathway mediating adiponectin signaling and function in diabetes. My research show HSP60 is a potential adiponectin signaling molecule in term of diabetic myocardial protection of adiponectin. Our lab also found TCTP is a binding partner of APPL2 negatively regulate adiponectin signaling in the liver. These findings will provide potential mechanisms behind insulin resistance, the development of type 2 diabetes, and diabetic related cardiovascular diseases, which helps to explore new methods for prevention and treatment of diabetes.
