The 2016 Annual Conference of Hubei Provincial Key Laboratory of Developmentally Originated Disorder was successfully held on

On Nov. 20th, 2016, the annual conference of Hubei Provincial Key Laboratory of Developmentally Originated Disorder was successfully held in campus of School of Basic Medical Sciences, Wuhan University. The conference attracted over 100 participants, including researchers and postgraduates majoring in gynaecology and obstetrics, pharmacology and toxicology, genetics and epidemiology etc. Ten plenary lectures around the topic of “translational medicine and developmentally originated diseases”, which represented the latest research of this interdisciplinary area, were delivered on this meeting. The keynote speakers were from some domestic top institutes, such as Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Neuroscience, Peking University, Beijing Institute of children research, etc.

A round table seminar was organized after the meeting. In the seminar, Professor Wang Hui, the director of key laboratory, made a general introduction of the work and progress in 2016. The invited experts and participated PIs all gave their valuable suggestion. This conference offered a golden opportunity for all delegates and guests to expose and communicate their results, new ideas. It also made a great contribution enhancing the academic impact and accelerating construction of the key laboratory.
